Bosom Buddies runs many activities that involve our members and volunteers. This means there is something for everyone. Some are at the stage where they are focused on recovery while other people want to be involved in the work that Bosom Buddies does:

|Join in on the members social get-togethers||Meet other women of your own age at the monthly social morning teas and/or the after-work drinks held every month.
These get-togethers provide the perfect environment to meet other members, build networks and catch up with old friends! Morning Tea gatherings are at Deeks, Pearce from 9.30am every 2nd Monday of the month (except when the Monday is a public holiday, in which case it is on the Tuesday instead) ~ Deeks is at the Pearce Shopping Centre on Hodgson Street. Evening after work get-togethers are at Tilley’s Devine Cafe Gallery from 5.30pm every 3rd Wednesday of the month ~ Tilley’s is at 1/94 Wattle Street, Lyneham.
There is no need to book ~ just turn up!
|Get on the volunteers register||Join with other women to organise or run a stall or information booths, or at a fundraising event. A good casual way to be with people that also have had breast cancer and spend time together selling the Bosom Buddies message and giving away shower tags to help women to be breast aware or raising money through selling raffle tickets.|
|Join the hospital visiting and support team||Why not consider joining our friendly band of volunteers- the Hospital Visiting and Support Team. They provide support in many ways to those diagnosed with breast cancer, their families and friends and work closely with the Specialist Breast Care Nurses based at Calvary Bruce. If you have completed your treatment at least two years ago, the coordinators, Kaye Johnston and Marilyn Ward, are always looking for more volunteers, especially amongst our younger members.|
|Breast awareness team||We run a Breast Awareness program that involves presenting to organisations and high schools on how to be breast aware and what to look for to detect it early. Join and help Theresa Kerby with this program.|
|Join the sewing teams||There are several sewing teams that produce ‘Fluffie ducks’ and also the drainage bags that patients receive from the Breast Care Nurses in hospital. The patterns are simple, and fun to do in a group of two or three. If you are interested in sewing then contact us.|
|Become a Committee Member||Bosom Buddies is managed by a Management Committee of members. The Committee is always looking for people to become involved. If you want to know more please contact us.As well, there are the following sub-committees that you can join:
